Premier Cloud helped Lume Cannabis cut monthly infrastructure costs by migrating from AWS to Google Cloud

The Challenge

Lume's growth was being hampered by fragmented data. Their digital storefront and physical dispensaries operated with distinct information ecosystems. This disconnect meant they couldn't see the full picture of a customer's interaction with their brand. Understanding how online browsing translated to in-store purchases, or vice versa, was very hard to do. This lack of a unified customer view hindered their ability to personalize experiences, optimize marketing spend, and ultimately, capitalize on their growth potential. 

The Solution

Recognizing the limitations of their existing on-premise infrastructure, Premier Cloud architected a seamless transition to Google Cloud. By centralizing Lume's data within Google Cloud's robust ecosystem, they paved the way for a unified customer view. This move offered more than just data consolidation; it unlocked the potential for dynamic scaling, ensuring Lume's infrastructure could adapt to their rapidly expanding business. Furthermore, the database migration was designed to drive down operational costs while simultaneously empowering Lume with cutting-edge analytics tools, setting the stage for data-driven innovation.

The Result

 Lume experienced a substantial 35% decrease in their monthly infrastructure expenditures, freeing up capital for strategic investments. Beyond cost savings, the enhanced scalability of Google Cloud provided a solid foundation for Lume's continued expansion, ensuring their technology could keep pace with their growth trajectory. 

The real game-changer was the ability to leverage Google Cloud's advanced analytics suite, particularly BigQuery. This powerful tool allowed Lume to delve deep into their unified data, uncovering hidden patterns and trends in customer behaviour.
