Premier Cloud seamlessly migrated Lexset's business-critical Core API from a legacy VM to a modern, scalable Google Kubernetes Engine environment with minimal downtime. The focused lift-and-shift resulted in improved performance, high availability, and enhanced security for Lexset's core application.
The Challenge
Lexset's critical Core API service was running on a traditional virtual machine, which lacked the scalability and advanced orchestration of a modern cloud-native platform. They needed to migrate this containerized workload to Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to improve availability, traffic management, and security with minimal downtime.
The Solution
Premier Cloud moved Lexset's Core API to Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), a modern platform designed for reliability and scale. This involved safely transferring the application and its 20 TiB of data to the new environment. The new setup includes automated traffic management and enhanced security, creating a more robust foundation for the service.

The Result
The Core API was successfully migrated to GKE and began serving production traffic within the planned four-hour maintenance window. The new environment demonstrated equal or better performance compared to the baseline and achieved enhanced security via a Google-managed certificate.
